Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Flash Zone is a fast-paced indoor or outdoor game designed to test a team’s reaction time and coordination. Colored zones randomly light up or activate, and players must race to deactivate them before a timer runs out.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Centralized control unit to trigger zones (manual or digital)
- Color-coded floor tiles or LED panels
- Timer with audible signals
- Bibs or armbands to distinguish teams
- Referees (minimum 2)

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- Square or circular playing area divided into 10–20 “flash zones”
- Zones randomly activate via control panel or app
- Score area and referee station on the perimeter

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 4–8 players per team
- Designated “runner” roles for high-speed response
- Rotating team captains to call strategies

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

Respond to as many active flash zones as possible before the timer expires. Each successful deactivation earns points. Team with the most points wins.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. Each round lasts 2–3 minutes.
2. Zones flash in randomized intervals.
3. Only one player may enter an active zone to deactivate it by touch.
4. Contacting a non-active zone results in a penalty.
5. Most zones cleared by end of round = round win.
6. Best of 3 or 5 rounds determines the match winner.

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Solo Training Mode**: One player chases randomized zones
- **Mirror Match**: Opposing players must race to the same zones
- **Darklight Mode**: Flashing LEDs in dark rooms for high drama
- **Strategic Zones**: Some zones worth double but have limited access

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Zones activated
- Zones cleared
- Penalties
- Time-to-response

---

**NOTES**
Flash Zone is ideal for school gyms, youth centers, and community centers. It encourages quick decision-making, communication, and teamwork in a fun environment.
